1. Service Description
Ownership Tag provides a platform to create, manage, and verify digital certificates of ownership for physical assets. These certificates are recorded as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Polygon blockchain to provide a transparent and immutable history.
2. User Accounts
You must create an account to use our services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date. You may not use our service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
3. Fees and Payments
Certain services, including but not limited to initial product registration, ownership transfers, and professional verifier licenses, are subject to fees. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By providing a payment method, you expressly authorize us to charge the applicable fees. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. All fees are non-refundable.
4. Product Registration and Verification
To register a product, you must provide accurate information, including serial numbers, proof of purchase, and images. You acknowledge that our team performs a manual verification of this information, and we reserve the right to approve or reject any registration at our sole discretion. Falsifying information may result in account termination.
5. Blockchain and Digital Certificates
Ownership records are secured on the Polygon blockchain. All blockchain transactions are final and irreversible. While we facilitate these transactions, we do not control the Polygon network. You are responsible for the security of your personal blockchain wallet, if you choose to connect one. We are not liable for losses due to wallet compromise or user error.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our service is provided "as is." In no event shall Ownership Tag Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our AI Tamper Check feature provides an advisory assessment and is not a guarantee against all forms of tampering.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
